This place doesn’t enforce their own safety regulations and their lifeguards are not there to save anyones life or prevent harm to anyone! My daughter was hurt an hour before my son almost drowned in the splash pad area by a child who was climbing on the outside of one of the water slides who fell from about 4 feet onto my daughters face as she was coming down the slide. Their weight was the reason I myself could not save my son and screamed for help, because they were too heavy for me to move. So unless they wanted to drown my boy which I choose not to believe, then being intoxicated out of their mind is the only reason I can think of to explain their behavior. Even when I tried to flip the device over so I could free my son did they not get off. They state intoxicated guests will not be permitted in the pools yet alcohol is the only reason I can come up with for the females who were on the floating device crushing my son to not get off when I yelled for them to get off because they were pinning my sons body to the pools bottom. This park does not allow you to bring your own life jacket for your children yet they don't have enough to supply one for even half of the guests who need one. His only response that he repeated numerous times was that they'd send the lifeguard for more training if they deemed it necessary. The supervisor showed no empathy or understanding of the fact that my son had been submerged long enough to pose a risk to his life. He saw his tiny body pinned to the bottom of the splash pool, face down, motionless and with no way to get free because of the huge floating device intended for use in the floating river attraction, with two very heavyset females on it whose wights were the force crushing his small body against the pool bottom! This was in the splash area where the depth of the water was 0.9 feet so it was impossible to NOT see him drowning while nobody came to help me save him! There were at least 30 adults watching this, hearing my screams for help and ONE person finally came and helped me save his life! The lifeguard shrugged his shoulders and walked away when I asked why he didn't help me save my son,why these floating devices are allowed in this shallow area where they posed a danger to small children. The lifeguard was 6 feet away watching the whole incident from beginning to end and did NOTHING! He heard me scream in panic for help to save my son. My 4 year old son almost drowned at this "family friendly waterpark yesterday 3/26/22. * bathrooms were nasty Overall a fun place just needs a few more activities a little more diligent lifeguards and better cleaning of bathrooms plus enable your system to accept your own gift cards There is no hot tub.just lazy river some slides a Kids area and flow rider. * the Water park is nice and in reality there really isint a ton of activities compared to Kalahari or great wolf. Felt need to call night before and verify. Had to do a chat session and give all info then hope they kept my info to guarantee us admission at door. Have to do at door but then you cannot reserve a day. * you cannot use a gift card online to buy tickets which was big inconvenience. * try to avoid weekends and if you do go weekend get there early as it gets packed. Positives * new place : clean (except for bathrooms) * friendly helpful staff * Nice section of town * kids 3 and under free * pricing pretty good for admission Negatives * not enough lifeguards and ones there didn't seem to be totally on game so be prepared to really keep eye out. If you are a Grand Prairie resident - the $39 entry isn’t too bad.įirst visit on 3/27/22. I have read bad reviews about lifeguards - but we witnessed serval jumping to action to help folks - and help lost children find parents. Also two slides of the few were not operational. We brought a cooler - parked close and ate lunch in car. Hubby and I joked about wanting to be the Operations Manager and whipping that place into shape. Lines to get in remained long until we left at 4. From 10-12 ish - crowds were decent and we pretty much did everything the park offered. Heads to snack bar and asks for them to break a $20 - at first they refused but they finally did it. He tries to pay with cash and it only excepts exact amount. Husband goes to ATM and pays $4 to get $20 out - for the $12 locker. Locker machine is down and only takes cash. (Be prepared - you need an ID that matches last name on ticket AND the card used for purchase). They wouldn’t let her in until one of her parents sent a pic of their DL. We brought my daughter’s friend who had a printed ticket. By 9:55 when they opened doors - there was a huge line! We went through security - no problems. Arrived at 9:30 (park opens at 10) and we were 3rd in line.
